In May 2019, the Croatian Pain Society– Croatian Medical Association (the National Chapter of the European Pain Federation), Osijek University Hospital Centre and Faculty of Medicine in Osijek, organized another cadaver workshop about minimally invasive techniques for the treatment of low back pain.

This workshop took place in Osijek (Croatia) and counted with a total number of 24 doctors, mostly working in pain clinics in Croatia. The participants had the opportunity to attend lectures from anesthesiologists working in the pain department.

Under the leadership of the asst. prof. Ivan Rados, M.D., Ph.D. (the President of the Croatian Pain Society), participants attended cadaver workshops and had the opportunity to improve or learn new skills in performing percutaneous laser disc decompression, epidurolysis, radiofrequency ablation of lumbar facet joints, epidural steroids injections, sacroiliac joint steroid injection.

Earlier this year, the Croatian Pain Society organized three more education events: Treatment of Acute Pain; Ultrasound-guided peripheral blocks in regional anesthesia (workshop) and Pain Management and Treatment of Neuropathic Pain.
