The European Pain Federation is the leading organisation in Europe on pain science and pain management. The European Pain Federation Academy brings together everyone who wishes to advance their competences through the Federation’s comprehensive multi-professional education programme. Reduced fees for EFIC exams
The European Pain Federation organise various post-graduate diploma examination aiming to establish a harmonised understanding of pain across Europe through qualifications designed and implemented by leading European educators. These examinations are open to healthcare professionals from within outside of Europe. A 25% reduction of the examination fees (excluded VAT) is available to all Academy members.
Reduced fees for EFIC Congress - "Pain in Europe"
The European Pain Federation organises a large scientific congress, usually every two years. Our congress gives access to the leading lectures and a scientific programme consisting of the latest evidence-based and best-practice-based medicine and healthcare in all relevant disciplines in the field of pain management. The congress also features refresher courses for healthcare professionals wishing to top-up their learning according to the curricula of the Federation.
Attendance at the EFIC Virtual Pain Education Summit 2021
the European Pain Federation is organising the second edition of a fully multi- and interprofessional pain education event. The Virtual Pain Education Summit is designed to meet the pain education needs of learners during a period when international travel is challenging. The Summit has tracks tailored to physicians, physiotherapists, clinical psychologists, and nurses. Access to the event is free to Academy members.
Open access to the highest quality online pain education material
The European Pain Federation is launching a new online learning platform with material tailored to its key curricula. The materials on this platform will be developed by leading European educators specifically with an online learning environment in mind. The Federation is developing this material with the guidance of professors in medical education to the highest standards. Learners will be able to pursue self-directed learning or follow specific tracks relevant to their profession. Access will be limited to Academy members only.

Terms and Conditions of the European Pain Federation Academy Membership
These terms and conditions (the “Terms”) apply to your purchase of membership of the European Pain Federation Academy (“EFIC Academy membership”). Please read these Terms carefully before completing the purchase of your membership as they will form the basis of the contract between you and the European Pain Federation EFIC (“EFIC”).

Prices and Information
The price for EFIC Academy membership and all benefits provided can be found on the EFIC website. All prices for EFIC Academy membership are annual payments in € EUR, including tax where applicable.
Payment
Payment is required at the time of purchase. It should be made in EUR only, using credit card (Visa, Master/Eurocard, and American Express). Payment services including credit card details handling are covered in Annex 1 below.
Application process
The payment process should be instantaneous, including proof of payment. A separate communication confirming your status as an EFIC Academy member should follow shortly afterwards. This communication should take no more than 3 working days.Your status as an EFIC Academy member and your ability to access all related benefits will take effect immediately after you receive the confirmation communication. Membership shall have a duration of one year, terminating automatically if no renewal process has been performed.
Renewal
You may renew your EFIC Academy membership for subsequent periods of one year, acknowledging that the price for EFIC Academy membership, the terms of membership and the benefits offered may change over time. The one-year period of renewal will start immediately after the last period of membership has come to an end. The process of renewal, and any loss of access to benefits during any interval between membership and renewal, is the responsibility of the member.
Non-transferability
Your EFIC Academy membership is non-transferable so that only you will be able to use it. In the event of misuse, EFIC reserves the right to withdraw your Academy membership (with payment for Membership being forfeit) and ban you from becoming a member in the future.
Cancellation
If you wish to cancel your EFIC Academy membership, please send an email to academy@efic.org. We will then delete your details from our Academy membership database. You will forfeit access to your benefits immediately after your request is processed. Kindly note that we cannot reimburse membership fees already paid or parts thereof.
Amendments
EFIC reserves the right to amend or revise these Terms at any time without notice. Any changes to the Terms apply with immediate effect from the date of publication on the EFIC website.
Third Parties
No third party shall have any rights under or in relation to the Terms.
Data Protection
We will store and utilize your personal data in accordance with our Privacy Policy, which is available here. Personal data will be requested as part of the application process. This data will include:
- Names
- Country of residence
- Email address
- Professional title
- Healthcare practice/discipline
- Professional role
- Institution/place of work
- Credit card details (see section above for details)
EFIC may provide your personal data to service providers responsible for the implementation of member benefits.
Fulfilment and Jurisdiction
These general terms and conditions are solely governed to the law of Belgium. In the event of any legal claims arising here from, the Belgian courts of Brussels shall be the sole courts of jurisdiction.
