
#EFIC2025 Venue
The EFIC Congress 2025 – Pain in Europe XIII will be held at the beautiful Cité – Centre de Congrès in Lyon, France.
The venue hosts more than 300 events per year offering more than 24,000 m² of flexible meeting spaces spread over 3 amphitheatres and 35 fully equipped meeting rooms, hosting up to 19,000 people. These event spaces are independent and dedicated to conventions, congresses, fairs, prestigious evenings, gala dinners, seminars, and concerts. Situated in the heart of the Cité Internationale the Lyon Convention Centre, a truly comprehensive events complex, benefits from many services in the immediate vicinity: car parks, hotels, restaurants, a cinema complex, a casino, and a museum.
How to get to Cité-Centre de Congrès

Lyon public transportation is run by the TCL network. Thir services include buses, trolleybuses, trams, underground metro, and funicular railway. These have several lines throughout the city. Getting to the city from the airport:
- All major car rental companies have offices in the arrivals hall of Lyon–Saint-Exupéry Airport. The airport is located close to the A432 motorway, connected to Lyon city centre by the A43 (E711) motorway.
- Please note that the Rhônexpress is undergoing major work and might not be running. For most up-to-date information, please check here. During the Rhônexpress service interruption, please watch out for display panels at T1 / baggage arrival hall, then in the station concourse to direct people to the replacement coach stops, with stickers on the ground, digital and static displays at the ticket machines, as well as on the station forecourt where signs will be displayed. The Saint Exupéry bus stop will be located in front of the station forecourt, and agents will be on hand to direct users.
- Several bus lines serve Lyon Airport. Buses 47 and 48 allow you to get to or from Lyon Airport for the price of a metro ticket. The journey takes 40 minutes.
- By taxi, you can find them outsideTerminal 1 and Terminal 2. The ride takes aprox 25 mins and the price changes by day/night fare. Usually it costs between 50-55 € to go to the city center.
- Another option: Self-service car. The Leo&Go self-service car service offers you a car sharing solution at Lyon Saint-Exupéry Airport. You book your car on the application, you move freely, and you leave your car in a Leo&Go zone on the public areas in Lyon.
- For uber, cabify etc a carsharing terminal is available at the exit of the SNCF station. It can be used as a meeting point, and also allows you to book a carsharing journey.
The congress venue is also reachable by the following different lines of buses, all serving the “Cité internationale | Centre de Congrès” and “Cité internationale | Transbordeur” stops:
- C1, C2, and 70 from Lyon Part Dieu train station;
- C4 from the Jean Macé metro station;
- C5 from the Cordeliers metro station;
- C26 from the Grange Blanche metro station.
