The European Pain Federation EFIC is bringing the international pain community together for Pain in Europe XV #EFIC2027 in Glasgow from 21–23 April 2027. Alongside three days of high-level scientific exchange, plenary sessions, and workshops, the upcoming congress will feature a comprehensive suite of networking formats designed to promote interdisciplinary collaboration and spark meaningful connections.
Science and Interactive Formats
The #EFIC2027 programme integrates interactive scientific formats directly into the main agenda:
- Poster Networking: Daily themed viewing sessions in a relaxed atmosphere to present research and engage with international colleagues.
- Poster Walks: Guided, expert-moderated sessions in the exhibition area giving presenters dedicated time to discuss their research alongside related thematic studies.
- EFIC Pain Challenge: A lively, knowledge-driven Thursday evening session featuring two teams answering broad questions across pain science and management, with full audience participation.
Receptions and Social Events
Delegates can connect, reconnect, and navigate the congress through dedicated social and orientation gatherings:
- Newcomers Orientation Session: Designed specifically for first-time attendees to navigate the programme, highlight key sessions, and plan their experience. It will take place on Wednesday, 21 April 2027 at 08:00 – 09:00 BST
- Welcome Reception: Taking place on Wednesday evening following the opening ceremony in the EFIC Village and exhibition area, offering delegates their first opportunity to connect over refreshments.
- Closing Reception: A concluding networking event on Friday evening in the EFIC Village and exhibition area to round off three days of scientific exchange.
