We are thrilled to announce the publication of the European Pain Federation EFIC Pain Research Strategy in the European Journal of Pain (EJP). This position paper outlines EFIC’s vision for advancing pain research across Europe, with a focus on promoting multidisciplinary approaches, fostering collaboration, and addressing the pressing needs of patients living with pain.
Developed through extensive consultation with researchers, clinicians, and stakeholders, the EFIC Pain Research Strategy provides a roadmap to ensure that pain research remains a priority for policymakers, funding bodies, and institutions. It aims to tackle key challenges in the field, such as limited funding, fragmented efforts, and a need for greater translation of research findings into clinical practice.
The publication marks a significant milestone for EFIC in our mission to enhance the understanding of pain and improve its management. By offering a cohesive framework, we hope to inspire and guide the pain research community to achieve impactful outcomes that will ultimately benefit patients.
