The European Pain Forum was created to enable a platform to ensure cooperation on issues where common scientific understanding is shared. The objective of this initiative is to jointly respond to requests for expert opinion, develop common clinical guidelines and build common educational tools. Pain is a relevant and an ever-evolving topic; as a consequence, the work of different European medical, scientific and patients organisations focuses precisely on the matter. Therefore, the European Pain Forum General Provisions guide its activities and enables the forum to carry out its wish of finding a common way of working together on subjects relevant to pain. The Forum counts thirteen fully endorsing organizations so far, and more are in the process of joining.
