SIP Denmark Announces New Article on the National Quality Database for Chronic Pain!
SIP Denmark is pleased to announce the publication of a new article on the Danish national quality database for chronic pain. The article is authored by Lars Bye Møller, who has lived with chronic pain for over 25 years and volunteers with FAKS, the Danish Association for People with Chronic Pain.
As noted in the article, this new national database aims to improve the collection of knowledge about chronic pain and enhance treatment for the 650,000 Danes suffering from disabling and complex chronic pain. According to Lars, “this is a major step for everyone living with chronic pain, as we can finally begin to collect data systematically to gain a solid overview of how assessment, treatment, and rehabilitation are actually carried out, and most importantly, where there is room for improvement.”
Together with other patient representatives, Lars advocates for increased awareness of pain at both national and international levels through the Societal Impact of Pain (SIP) Platform.
