The Societal Impact of Pain (SIP) Platform is delighted to announce that in 2024, the European Pain Federation EFIC will launch the European Pain Awareness Day, an annual event dedicated to increasing the understanding of chronic pain and its profound impact on patients’ lives. This awareness day, which will be held every third Wednesday in October, aims to foster a supportive environment for those affected, reduce stigma, and advocate for improved care and resources. You can find more information here.
To further this mission, the Societal Impact of Pain (SIP) Platform, will host a key event on 16 October 2024 at the Fondation Universitaire in Brussels titled “Pain Treatment, Management, and Prevention—Is Europe Providing Adequate Access?”. This event will bring together policymakers, healthcare professionals, and patients to address gaps in pain treatment across Europe and propose solutions to improve accessibility and outcomes. An opportunity to deepen the conversation on pain care, building on the momentum of this year’s European Pain Awareness Day. You can find more information about the event here.
