SIP Advocacy Toolkit Training in Poland – Report from the Event

The Societal Impact of Pain (SIP) platform is pleased to share updates from the Advocacy Toolkit Training in Poland, held on 21 October 2026 in Warsaw.

The training aimed to strengthen awareness of pain and support the development of more coordinated and effective pain policies across Europe.

Designed as a practical, step-by-step resource, the Advocacy Toolkit supports national stakeholders, including healthcare professionals, patient representatives, researchers, and institutional actors, in developing and strengthening their advocacy efforts. It provides guidance for countries establishing a new SIP National Platform, as well as existing national networks seeking to further structure their work and align their priorities with the wider European SIP framework.

The Polish training brought together a range of stakeholders, including representatives of the Polish Association for the Study of Pain (PTBB), patient organisations, healthcare professionals, and academia.

The meeting highlighted Poland’s active and growing pain advocacy landscape. Building on this existing momentum, the training provided an opportunity to explore how stakeholders could work together to establish a SIP National Platform in Poland, connecting national advocacy initiatives with the wider European network.

We would like to thank all participants for their engagement and valuable contributions. We look forward to following the next steps towards strengthening collaboration among Polish stakeholders and further developing pain advocacy in Poland.
