The European Parliament’s Special Committee on Beating Cancer (BECA) has published the final compromised amendments on their Report on Europe’s Beating Cancer Plan entitled “Strengthening Europe in the fight against cancer”.
SIP has engaged with multiple MEPs on this Committee, and has put forward various recommendations to help this Report inform the implementation of the Beating Cancer Plan.
SIP is happy to announce that in the report, there are multiple references to points relevant to our positions such as:
- Cancer pain management;
- Multidisciplinary models of care;
- Training and upskilling;
- Care management;
- Reintegration/ non-discrimination in the workplace;
- Quality of life and;
- Telemedicine and new technologies
