The Executive Committee of the national platform SIP PT organised an online and face-to-face event to commemorate the National Day against Pain, on October 16th, 2021, after the 2021 APED Congress in Lisbon, with 80 registrations.
At this event, we presented to the public, the media, health professionals, stakeholders, endorsers of Scientific Societies and Patient Associations our activities, goals and campaigns on the new website.
The participation of health professionals and patients was very important to clarify the objectives of SIP Europe and national platforms.
According to the attached Program, we had the collaboration of two Members of the Executive Committee, Beatriz Craveiro Lopes (APED) and Isabel Pireza (Patients Associations). We invited Professor Patrice Forget (SIP Chair) to explain, in video, the “SIP EU Future Perspectives”, with presence online, and Maria Soledad Garcia Penalta (PAE Vice-President) that sent a video with “The Patients Contributions towards SIP”.
In a very interesting debate, health professionals wanted to hear about patient´s needs, expectations, collaboration, treatments and auto management. Dr. Beatriz explained the “translation of the ICD11 pain codification” and the benefits expected.
