The Societal Impact of Pain held a virtual event on the 2nd of March 14h00-17h00 CET. The event is entitled “Ensuring Europe’s Beating Cancer Plan addresses cancer pain in quality of life, survivorship, and palliative care”. The purpose of this event was to discuss and identify gaps in Europe’s Beating Cancer Plan related to cancer pain, and specifically, to make recommendations on quality of life, survivorship, and palliative care. The meeting was hosted by MEP Dolors Montserrat (EPP, Spain) and MEP Sirpa Pietikäinen (EPP, Finland).

The event was also an opportunity to strengthen SIP’s engagement with our partner organisations, for example, through the interactive breakout sessions, we held with the European Cancer Organisation (ECCO) and the European Cancer Patient Coalition (ECPC).
