EFIC has joined hands with the European Cancer Organization (ECO) in the policy research project to better evaluate cancer workforce working conditions in Europe. This project aims to generate more recent data on working conditions and robust coverage of key professions underpinning the delivery of multidisciplinary cancer care. It will also provide insights into the current and long-term impact on European health systems. The survey runs through February 2024, the obtained data will be analyzed with thorough extrapolation and modeling work followed by a publication in mid-2024. This data will also be included in the European Cancer Pulse tool and ultimately used to generate a better representation of cancer workforce issues and inequalities across Europe.
Aligning with the fact that pain management is one of the major aspects of Cancer management throughout the cancer journey for both patients and survivors, EFIC recommends all the care providers take an active part in this survey and echo the current challenges and barriers experienced by pain professionals, especially those attending cancer patients and survivors, across European countries.
Are you a healthcare professional involved partially or fully in cancer patient care? We invite you to participate in the survey!
