The European Pain Federation EFIC is pleased to announce its endorsement of the ENTRUST-PE framework, a pioneering initiative aimed at enhancing the trustworthiness of pain research.
ENTRUST-PE, which stands for “Enhancing and Facilitating the Trustworthiness of Pain Evidence,” addresses critical challenges in pain research, including incomplete reporting, lack of data transparency, and research misconduct. By developing an integrated framework, ENTRUST-PE seeks to support researchers, editors, and clinicians in producing and evaluating high-quality, trustworthy evidence in the field of chronic pain.
The central objective of ENTRUST-PE is to synthesize available resources into a comprehensive framework that minimizes threats to the reliability of pain research. This initiative not only benefits researchers and healthcare professionals but also serves patients and the public by promoting more effective and transparent pain management strategies.
