Cristian Silviu Busoi MEP and Alex Agius Saliba MEP invite you to a panel discussion on
The Future of European Pain Research
Tuesday, 21 March 2023 – 11:15-12:50 CET
European Parliament – JAN 6Q1
Featuring experts from the European Pain Federation EFIC and IMI-PainCare consortium
Pain science and pain management are of crucial societal importance, though our under-standing of pain is limited. This event will showcase the IMI-PainCare project, where significant breakthroughs are being made for the benefit of patients everywhere, as well as looking to the future of European pain research and where funding should be prioritised in 2023 and beyond.
IMI-PainCare is a public-private partnership supported by the European Union to improve the care of patients with acute or chronic pain. EFIC is one of about 41 partners of this consortium (www.imi-paincare.eu). The consortium is working to inform key audiences, such as regulators, politicians, research-funders, patients and others, on how these results will benefit pain science and benefit patients. EFIC have supported these activities through the creation of information packs and outreach to various targets.
