The European Pain Federation EFIC is proud to launch the updated pain curriculum for the EDPM.The main aims of the EDPM pain curriculum are to guide preparations for the EDPM examinations and to help pain educators throughout Europe harmonise their educational programs and goals. The revised version reflects the dynamic changes in the field of pain medicine, including the ICD-11 pain classification and new knowledge on technologies entering the pain medicine field.

The updated core curriculum has been endorsed by several international organisations as proof of its multidisciplinary approach in chronic pain management. The revision by distinguished EFIC Academy members with extensive experience in pain medicine, research activities, and education ensures its content is of excellence. We hope that it contributes to the promotion and recognition of pain medicine as an officially recognised medical discipline across Europe.
