‘Self-care is defined as the practice of activities that people initiate and perform to maintain their own life, health and well-being’.
The Spanish Pain Society SED, published an interactive guide on self-care for people living with pain. The guide addresses issues such as lifestyle, self-care, sexual life, functionality, emotional and mental health, and nutrition, amongst other relevant topics.
Achieving the highest level of autonomy and quality of life that the condition of the disease allows, is crucial. The actions carried out on a daily basis to achieve this are known as self-care.
