SIP Portugal is excited to share with you that 2024 was the year of action!

They are proud to highlight the following objectives and initiatives that are putting SIP Portugal on the move:

  • Representation at SIP events: SIP Portugal was present at two key SIP events in Brussels on October 16th as part of “European Pain Awareness Day.”
  • Website update: The SIP PT website has been revamped with the latest news, resources, and campaigns. Check it out here.
  • Document translation coordination: In collaboration with SIP EU, the translations of important documents have been made available in English (EN) and Portuguese (PT).
  • Policy engagement: They submitted a “Reflection Document” on access to pain management, which includes current proposals related to prevalence, costs, prevention, and literacy. This document has been shared with policymakers, political parties, and both national and European deputies.
  • Outreach materials: SIP Portugal has prepared and distributed an informational flyer to raise awareness.
  • Stakeholder and sponsor engagement: SIP Portugal has launched the “Together for Pain Control” campaign aimed at attracting new stakeholders and sponsors in Portugal and across Europe.
