Professor Laserina O’ Connor (EFIC Councillor Ireland) has published a textbook with Springer entitled; “The Nature of Scholarship, A Career Legacy Map and Advanced Practice: An Important Triad” (2019). This book endorsed by the International Council of Nurses is an important read for clinicians, advanced practice nursing practitioners/aspirants, educators, regulators and policy makers and available from Amazon. Of note, in chapter 7 O’Connor unravels a complex chronic pain case informed by a person-centered perspective viewed through the lens of a clinical chair who is also a registered advanced nurse practitioner in pain management with prescriptive authority.
