The European Pain Federation EFIC is pleased to invite the pain community to contribute suggestions for potential plenary topics and speakers for the 15th EFIC Congress PAIN IN EUROPE XV, taking place on 21–23 April 2027 in Glasgow, Scotland.

Under the congress theme Building Bridges in Pain: Thriving Through Communication, EFIC 2027 will bring together basic scientists, researchers, clinicians, allied health professionals and others to explore how communication across disciplines and systems can advance pain research, education, and clinical practice.

The scientific programme will cover the full spectrum of pain science and management: from fundamental mechanisms to clinical innovation, implementation research, interprofessional collaboration, and policy impact. Sessions will include lectures, symposia, refresher courses, and master classes designed to foster dialogue and strengthen connections across the field.

Plenary lectures are the flagship sessions of the Congress: high-profile, keynote-style presentations that showcase visionary ideas, cutting-edge research, and cross-disciplinary perspectives aligned with the #EFIC2027 theme.

As the Scientific Programme Committee (SPC) begins its work to identify and appoint plenary topics and speakers, we welcome your input. Your suggestions will help broaden the range of perspectives under consideration, highlight diverse voices, and bring forward innovative ideas from the international pain community. Submissions received through the form will be carefully reviewed and integrated into the SPC’s discussion and planning rounds in the months ahead.

The suggestion form will open in early 2026 and remain available until 1 February 2026.
