SPS & SGHN Annual Congress 2024

The scientific and organizing committee is pleased to welcome you in Aarau on November 14th and 15th 2024 for the ‘Sex and Gender Disparities in Pain Congress’, jointly organized by the Swiss Pain Society (SPS) and the Swiss Gender Health Network (SGHN).

Gender disparities are increasingly recognized in many health domains, and pain is no exception. We are not equal when it comes to pain. Biological, social, or environmental factors can jointly influence pain at various levels, whether in the pathophysiological mechanisms, expression or recognition, management or prevention of pain. As part of this congress, we invite you to share the latest knowledge on sex and gender in pain, in the presence of national and international experts from various disciplines. Together, we aim to reflect on the influence of sex/gender on pain and explore ways to integrate sex and gender dimensions in practice, research and teaching to improve patient care.

This is in line with the IASP Global Year 2024 Sex and Gender Disparities in Pain.

What to Expect:

  • In-depth Discussions: Engage with leading experts as they delve into the intricate relationship between sex, gender, and pain.
  • Networking Opportunities: Connect with fellow healthcare professionals, share experiences, and build lasting collaborations.
  • Cutting-Edge Research: Explore the latest advancements in pain research integrating sex and gender dimensions.

Who will Attend? Multidisciplinary audience of medical doctors, nurses, researchers, psychologists, physiotherapists and other allied healthcare professionals.

Don’t miss this unique opportunity to be part of a dynamic dialogue addressing sex and gender disparities in pain. Together, we can bridge the gaps in healthcare and provide more personalized and effective pain relief solutions for all patients.

We look forward to welcoming you in Aarau to the SPS & SGHN Annual Congress 2024 and thank you in advance for your appreciated support!
